Lucy Fallon has become the SEVENTH star to quit Coronation Street this year.
Three Corrie actresses' exits have been revealed in the last three days amid a mass exodus.
The Bethany Platt actress, 23, announced she was leaving at the end on her contract after four years on the cobbles.
Putting a statement on Twitter, she said: "After the most incredible 4 years, I have made the extremely difficult decision to leave Coronation Street at the end of my contract in 2020.
"It’s hard to put into words how much this show means to me.
"I’ve made lifelong friends with some of the most talented and hardworking people in the industry, I’ve had some terrific and immensely important storylines and I’ve laughed with the best people everyday."
Lucy put her support behind new boss Iain MacLeod, who took over from Kate Oates in 2018.
She continued: "I’m so thankful to Iain and everyone at Coronation Street, I owe everything to them and I will miss them greatly.
"Thank you so much for your support and love… can't wait to see what's in store for Bethany this year."
Later on, Lucy took to Twitter again to reveal the real reason she left the role.
She said: "Just to clarify, my decision to leave was made in August last year and has nothing to do with ANYONE at Coronation Street. I didn’t make it lightly and I am going to miss every single person there. Excited for my final year at the best place! Woo"
Lucy won Best Dramatic Female Performance at last year's Soap Awards and has become a much-loved member of the Corrie cast.
Heartbroken Coronation Street fans took to Twitter after hearing the news.
One fan said: "I'm heartbroken but I wish you the best for the future. you are so amazing and you deserve to go onto do bigger and better things. Bethany platt will be missed hugely"

A third said: "All the best. Bethany has been one of my favourite characters in the show for a while now and your acting has been outstanding!"
The news comes just one day after Katie McGlynn's exit was revealed and two days after Faye Brookes quit.
Taking to Twitter , Faye wrote that she would be leaving the role of Kate Connor to "explore new opportunities".
She tweeted: "Thanks to everyone for your amazing support, but after 4 fabulous years in Weatherfield it's time for me to explore new opportunities, I've loved playing Kate Connor, but she needs a break for a little while and so with a song in my heart I'm off to pastures new. #corrie."
The actress has appeared in the soap since 2015 as Kate Connor, who is best known for her relationship with Rana Habeeb, played by Bhavna Limbachia.
In a statement, Coronation Street said: "Faye is a very talented actress who has put her all into the portrayal of Kate Connor for the past three and a half years, we wish her every success for the future.
"She will be on screen until early autumn and the door will be left open."
This comes just a week after actor Tristan Gemmill, who plays Robert Preston, announced that he was leaving the cobbles .
The star also broke the news on Twitter and said that he would be making an exit later this year.
In March, actress Connie Hyde, who starred as Sally Webster's sister Gina Seddon, revealed that she would be quitting . Her last scenes aired earlier this month.
