EastEnders often has its viewers gripped to the sofa and tonight's episode was no different as they urged Nancy to call time on her relationship with Zack.
Opening tonight's episode, Walford's local heartthrob Zack confessed to Nancy that he had been partly responsible for the hit and run attack that left her hospitalised in July.
Since the accident, Nancy (Maddy Hill) has fallen in love with Zack, played by James Farrar, with the pair seemingly becoming inseparable despite his huge secret.
Ever since Zack has been filled with guilt after the night that saw Nancy's sister Frankie Lewis (Rose Ayling-Ellis) knock Nancy over while on a driving lesson with Zack.
Explaining what happened to his girlfriend, Zack said: "I'd taken Frankie out for a driving lesson, it was dark, I'd had a few too many, I shouldn't have even got in the car in the first place.
"She took her eyes off the road, we felt a thud, I panicked, once I lied to the police, I just kept on lying."
Stunned by the revelation, Nancy responded: "But you took care of me?"
"I've hated not telling you, I'm sorry," muttered Zack.
Confused by what she was hearing, Nancy asked: "How could you watch me falling for you?
Taking to Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts, with one penning: "Nancy can do better than Zack #eastenders."
A second added: "Glad Nancy told Zack they're done #EastEnders."
"Nancy can do better than Zack #eastenders," wrote a third.
Before a fourth commented: "I hope Nancy dosnt take it out on Frankie. It was Zack's fault not hers that the accident happened #EastEnders."
