It has become clear that sinister serial killer Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet) hasn’t lost his hunger for murder in EastEnders – as a sinister scene on Christmas night showed him stalking an uneasy Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) with a scary look in his eyes.
Lucas has been released from prison and daughter Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) thinks he has turned over a new leaf, but the old Lucas still simmers beneath the surface, meaning Walford should be very afraid.
Denise (Diane Parish) was horrified to come face to face with Lucas at a church service she had taken Raymond too and she was shaken to realise that Chelsea has fallen under his spell once more.
As Denise arrived back home, she told her family what had happened and Patrick (Rudolph Walker) headed out and found Lucas, warning him to stay away from his family.
As night fell, Ruby was walking home with a box of chips after a fallout with Martin (James Bye) and Lucas started following her, striking up a conversation with her.
But as he closed in, a call from Chelsea seemed to lift the possessed look from his eyes and he left Ruby to walk away.
Just how close to death did Ruby just become? And will the next target be so lucky to avoid it?
