Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) is about to come face to face with what could be her final fate in Emmerdale tonight as Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), a ghost from her past, finally stops lurking in the shadows and tormenting her and prepares to kill her. But will Harriet die – or can Dawn (Olivia Bromley) save the day?
As Dawn decides that her vengeful dad has gone too far, she tries to tackle him but falls to the ground and is knocked out cold. At the church, Will closes in on a petrified Harriet, who had no idea that he was still alive.
And before long, a terrifying and deadly showdown unfolds. Dean told Metro.co.uk: ‘I just think he wants revenge. I don’t think he knows how far he wants to go when he starts all this, he just wants to scare the living daylights out of her and somehow get his revenge, but I don’t know how far he is willing to go.
‘As I am playing it I am trying to think that he would maybe go all the way.’
Will is set to take things to the extreme as Dean confessed ‘he’s dangerous’ – which becomes evident when he tries to crush Harriet with a coffin. ‘There is a coffin involved, yes!’ Dean teased. ‘He does all kinds of things just to freak her out. He does an order of service, as if she’s going to die, so he gets the coffin ready for her. It’s that kind of thing psychologically. But maybe he wants to kill her?’
As Harriet lies trapped, will Dawn get to her before it’s too late or is the end of the line for the petrified vicar?
Emmerdale airs the scenes in a double episode on Thursday 16th May at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
