Emmerdale Colin stars forgotten role in ITV soap before playing Marshalls dad
Emmerdale newcomer Mark Noble is currently playing Councillor Colin Hamston in the ITV soap.
He is at the centre of a dramatic hard-hitting storyline as he struggles to cope with his son Marshall Hamston's sexuality.
The young boy bravely came out as gay to his homophobic scenes last week after running away from his boarding school.

His school friend Arthur Thomas (Alife Clarke) was helping Marshall hide in RishiSharma's empty home but they were caught by Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).
Arthur's mum Laurel contacted Colin and Marshall was taken home but Arthur was left concerned when he hadn't heard from his pal.
Laurel headed over to the Hamston's and learned Marshall had been attacked by his dad and agreed he could move in with her family.
As Colin is left gutted at his son's decision, Daily Star has looked back at his three roles in Doctors.
He plays the roles of Adrian Coleman, Malcolm Ridgeley and Steven Collins.
Fans may not know that he also played Howard Bevan in Emmerdale before landing the role of Colin earlier this year.
Emmerdale filming was cancelled last week after the soap's set in Leeds was hit by heavy snow from Storm Larissa.
A representative for the soap confirmed that work had been delayed for the day due to issues with “road accessibility" for cast members and crew.
They said: “Due to the weather and road accessibility all Emmerdale filming units have been cancelled today.”
Actor Nick Miles, who plays Jimmy King, also tweeted: “Filming on Emmerdale cancelled today due to the snow. Look out Leeds. We're all going sledging.”
Emmerdale's set was first hit by the snowy weather on Thursday (March 9) but the cast continued with filming their scenes, which will air in May.
Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
