Emmerdale fans have spent weeks trying to work out who was poisoning Kim Tate, but even more shocking than the big reveal was her plan for revenge.

Kim faked her own death in a scene so convincing that it left viewers gasping when they saw that she was in fact alive.

For a long time, multi-millionaire Kim (Claire King) has been being poisoned by someone drugging her brandy bottle and she had set about trying to catch out the culprit, even holding a tense dinner party where she invited all the suspects.

She was furious when she finally worked out that her own son Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) had been poisoning her drink, making her think that she was suffering from dementia before she realised what was going on.

But rather than going straight to the police to shop her own son, Kim decided to get revenge by letting him think she believed him as he tried to pin the poisoning on Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).

With Will on side, on Wednesday viewers saw him and Kim hatch a plan where Will pretended to drug the brandy himself, with Jamie watching on via a camera.

But when Jamie rushed round to Home Farm, he was greeted by a nurse and police officer who both told him that his mum was dead, and he watched on in horror as her lifeless body was zipped into a body bag and loaded into a van.

Jamie believed his plan to frame Will had worked as he saw him being arrested by the police officer and taken away from the scene, too.

The biggest twist was yet to come, though, when viewers saw the van pull over and Kim, alive and well, getting out to greet Will.

Things don't look good for Jamie, who will not only have to answer for his crimes, but will also have his access to mum Kim's millions cut off.

Kim's plan is to watch her son having to mourn her death, before making an explosive return to the village and exposing what he has done, while wreaking her revenge in full.
