Emmerdale rocked by Liam Cavanaghs affair with unlikely villager
Emmerdale: Chloe Harris slams 'self-centred' Mackenzie
Emmerdale’s Liam Cavanagh (played by Jonny McPherson) has not been spotted with anyone romantically since the breakdown of his marriage to Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi).
He’s been lost since his daughter Leanna Cavanagh’s (Mimi Slinger) brutal murder at the hands of convicted serial killer Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu).
His relationship with Leyla fell apart after she resorted to drugs and needed to be checked into rehab.
Leyla appears to have moved on with Emmerdale newcomer Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) who she has been getting close to in recent weeks following her kidnapping horror.
However, ITV soap spoilers have revealed Liam and an unlikely resident start getting close in upcoming episodes.
In scenes yet to air Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) and Liam start bonding when she discovers a secret about the villager.
She learns he is a published author going under the pen name Anna Le Monde.
Liam and Wendy enjoy each other’s company when she helps him with the ending of a short story.

The doctor is taken aback when Wendy blatantly lies to her partner Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) so she can attend a murder mystery convention with him.
Could this be the start of a steamy affair between Liam and Wendy on the ITV soap?
How will the villagers react if they find out the pair have been seeing each other behind Bob’s back?
Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson told Express.co.uk and other press Liam should be called “Dr Love”.
“There’s going to be something that I think will take you all by surprise and it starts off as quite a fun story but at the heart of it there is something serious, which will come out further down the line,” she teased.
“But it’s a great story. We’ll see Liam and another character in a way we’ve perhaps not seen before, so I can’t wait for you to watch that.”
Is their romance going to carry on in the village?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
