Emmerdale’s Charley Webb has spoken about homeschooling her ‘feral’ children during lockdown, describing the experience as ‘so stressful’.
The actress, known for her role as Debbie Dingle on the ITV soap, is looking after her children during the pandemic, having welcomed a third baby boy with husband and fellow Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden last summer.
Speaking on Loose Women, Charley described the experience as ‘chaos’.
‘Well the homeschooling thing I find so stressful, honestly,’ she told Loose Women
Brenda Edwards, Gloria Hunniford, Janet Street-Porter and Jane Moore.
‘Three three boys in lockdown. I mean, it’s chaos. absolute chaos. I’m not gonna lie. And my kids are quite feral as well. They’re not like these quiet little boys that will sit and play with trains.’
Speaking about life in lockdown, Charley also spoke about dealing with her anxiety, saying she doesn’t watch the news as it can aggravate it.
‘I don’t watch the news at all. Obviously, I watch the really important stuff. But anything that’s not going to add to my day, I just don’t watch it because it just sends me through the roof.
‘I just have to shut myself off. Because obviously, I’ve got three children at home. You don’t have that time to deal with anxiety like you normally would when they’re at school. So I just have to zone out.’
The actress also spoke about Debbie’s return on Emmerdale, and said that Al could be in for a shock when Debbie and Priya team up to take revenge.
‘Debbie’s quite a strong character. She doesn’t let things go. Priya is a little bit more laid back. But obviously, her fiance is cheating on her. So I think we couldn see a few fireworks.
‘I think she’s gonna go all out,’ Charley said about Debbie. ‘There’s so much going on, and then it just explodes. And so I’m looking forward to you guys seeing that.’
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV
