Donna (played by Jaye Jacobs) struggles to connect with her adopted daughter and does everything she can to avoid spending time alone with her.
Lonely, Mia finds a much-needed friend in Jason, but this only serves to rattle Donna further.
Unable to cope, Donna lashes out at the teenager – but is shocked when Mia turns the tables and accuses her of being narcissistic.

With Mia adamant that she wants and needs Evie's support, Donna is forced to back down and allow their friendship to continue.
But the same can’t be said for Donna and Fletch’s friendship, with Donna making it clear that there is no way back for them.
