JAMES Argent was unrecognisable after shedding 5.5st as he celebrated Dan Osborne's 30th birthday.
James has lost an impressive five-and-a-half stone just two months after having gastric sleeve surgery and showed off his new body at Dan's surprise party.
Dan's wife Jacqueline Jossa threw her husband a celebration with family and friends at their Essex home.
James was one of the VIP guests and posed proudly next to his mate, as he looked healthier than he has in months.
Wearing one of his signature powder blue striped shirts and bone coloured chinos, the reality star sat with his arm around Dan.
The men beamed with pride in the middle of the celebrations which Jac spared no expense in putting together.
She set up a marquee with light up letters spelling 'Dan 30' and decorated the space with different coloured balloons.
Jac looked stunning for the event in denim shorts, a white crop top and matching blazer.
She wore her hair plaited to the side and completed the look with metallic eyeshadow.
Dan looked genuinely surprised at the party as he arrived in a check shirt and black jeans before going to changed into a beige Balenciaga t-shirt.
Arg looked happy and healthy at the birthday bash just days after he revealed he was back on solid foods.
Taking to Instagram, Arg wrote: "Back on solid foods 🙌🏼 I'm Delighted with the results, 5 1/2 Stone weight loss so far!
"Thanks to the team @wearetransform who have been guiding me on the how to integrate solids back into my diet.
"I’m aiming to stick to nutritionally packed foods as part of a well balanced diet to help me reach my weight loss goals ❤️"
Arg shocked fans when he admitted he had ballooned to almost 27 stone during lockdown, saying he swapped a drink and drug addiction for junk food when Covid closed gyms and pools.
The Sun exclusively revealed that Arg had the surgery to help him lose 11 stone and save his life.
Now he hopes to slim down to 16st after having half his stomach removed during the £10,000 procedure.
Last week The Sun revealed how the Towie star said "he feels 10 years younger" since shedding the pounds – but he’s still got three stone to go.
Arg hit 27st when he underwent lifesaving stomach-surgery in April after doctors warned him: “Lose weight or die."
Now he's feeling better than ever after the op helped controlled his diet, which spiralled out of control in lockdown.
A source told The Sun: “Arg feels amazing and about ten years younger. He’s never been as fit and healthy as this and he only wants to continue going in the same direction.
“Its given him new found confidence and he is determined to stretch himself with more and more challenges.
“On the downside all this working out means he has less time to meet someone – but there will be plenty of time for that.”
“Arg is in a great place right now and it is all down to his weight-loss journey.
“He looks in the mirror and, day by day, sees the old Arg returning. Losing weight has been the most liberating experience of his life. Arg is aiming to lose at least ten stone and may even carry on if he can."
Arg ballooned to 27 stone when he stopped exercising in lockdown — and replaced drink and drugs with fast food.
Arg said his shocking weight gain left best friend Mark Wright and footballer brother Josh, who run a fitness company together, in tears when they stepped in to help their childhood pal.
Speaking about his weight loss on Steph’s Packed Lunch, Arg said: “It felt horrible, I was always extremely uncomfortable, I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror.
“It felt depressing and it just wasn’t me. Now I’m starting to feel like myself again and I’m excited about what the future is going to bring.
“It was scary being 27 stone… It was serious, doctors were telling me how dangerous it was… I knew it was something I had to address pretty quickly.”
