Katie Price admits making 'mistakes' raising her kids – but she's 'sick to death' of parent-shamers

KATIE Price has admitted she’s made mistakes while raising her children but is “sick to death” of parent shamers.

The mum-of-five candidly discussed what it is like being a parent in the public eye in her latest segment for Steph’s Packed  Lunch – as she was joined by her youngest Jett, seven, and Bunny, six.

Katie, 40, shares Jett and Bunny with her ex Kieran Hayler and is also mum to Princess, 13 and Junior, 15, with first husband Peter Andre and Harvey, 18.

She said: “I’m definitely no Mary Poppins. I make mistakes. There’s no perfect parent, you just do what you do.

"I’m sick to death of trying to justify everything about my life, I am what I am. We all bring up our kids differently and I’m happy with the way I bring up my kids.”

Asking the children how it makes them feel when people say horrible things about their mum, both Jett and Bunny said “angry”.

With Bunny adding: “It’s wrong to say stuff about other people”.

Katie also asked if she was a good mum, to which Jett replied: "Sort of".

Katie’s fiance Carl Woods, who is hoping to have a baby with Katie, told her: “You come under extra scrutiny which must make it even harder.

"No matter what you do, someone is always going to gun at you. There’s nothing wrong with the mother that you are, you’re a fantastic mum.”

In the Packed Lunch studio, Steph McGovern asked Katie whether she’d be happy for her kids to say they didn’t want to do any filming or be on her social media.

Katie replied: “Absolutely fine… I’d never make them do it. If they’re there and they want to be in it, fine, if they don’t, they don’t. You can’t force a child to do it and I wouldn’t.”

Katie’s oldest children have their own Instagram accounts and regularly appear on both Katie and Peter Andre’s YouTube.
