Love Island lines up six ‘bombshell arrivals’ for major cast shake-up

This week, ITV confirmed the official cast line-up for Love Island 2019, including the likes of Tyson Fury’s brother Tommy and AJ Pritchard’s brother Curtis.

There were seven guys in the Love Island cast list, as well as five girls – but not everybody is happy.

Many have commented on an apparent lack of diversity in both body size and ethnic minorities.

But it seems they don’t have to worry, as it’s reported that there are six “bombshell arrivals” already in hiding.

“It’s going to make amazing TV and it’ll be a real twist for those who start the show”

A source told The Sun Online: “The current line-up isn’t going to stay the same for long – and the newbies are super hot.

“They are being called ‘bombshell arrivals’ and viewers will see why when they see them.”

It’s not clear when the newbies will enter the villa, but last year saw new arrivals three days after the launch.

The source continued: “It’s going to make amazing TV and it’ll be a real twist for those who start the show.”

It should come as no surprise that there will be more islanders entering the villa this year.

When the ITV2 show restarted back in 2015, there was a total of 23 islanders before Jessica Hayes and Max Morley won the show.

In 2016, the year Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey were crowned winners, there were 26 cast members.

That rose again to 32 in 2017, while last year’s series had even more at a whopping 38.

As well as that, the number of episodes has almost doubles since it launched, with last year having 49.

Could this year see more than 50 contestants and episodes?

Love Island kicks off Monday, June 3 on ITV2.
