Lucifer season five, part two will soon be released on Netflix as viewers find out what’s next for Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) and Chloe Decker (Lauren German). However, some viewers might still be confused about whether any other series are linked to Lucifer. Here’s everything you need to know about what universe the show is set in.
Are any other series set in the same universe as Lucifer?
As fans of Lucifer will know, the premise of the series was developed from a DC comic called The Sandman.
This was created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg who even launched a spin-off comic series for Lucifer himself.
Given this is a DC comic, some fans might be wondering if Lucifer technically exists in the same universe as other shows.
There are a whole host of DC series banded under the title of the Arrowverse.
These include Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl, amongst others.
However, during the first three seasons of Lucifer, there was no confirmation whether the series was also part of this.
In fact, given there had been no explicit references to the other shows in the universe, it seemed like they were separate.
Then, ahead of the release of season four, it was confirmed they are actually linked.
This came as Lucifer made an appearance in the Arrowverse‘s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event in December 2019.
Lucifer appeared in a scene with Legends of Tomorrow‘s John Constantine (Matt Ryan).
Constantine asked his old friend for his help in saving newly resurrected Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell).
While Lucifer only appeared in the one scene, fans were left delighted by the revelation.

Posting on Twitter at the time, co-showrunner Joe Henderson explained how the shows are connected.
He wrote: “For #Lucifans wondering, the Crisis cameo is a prequel to our show.
“In the script, Lucifer says he’s expecting [onetime LUX employee] Delilah in the alley.
“They had to cut the line for time, but I thought that was a clever way to ground the ‘when’ of it all.”
Following the cameo, some were also left wondering if there could be more crossovers on the cards.
There has been no confirmation of this so far, but Henderson also has not ruled out the possibility of it either.
Asked if it could happen back in 2019, he joked to Entertainment Weekly: “I have thoughts.
“I have theories [about Lucifer and Constantine] and we should explore it in the spin-off.”
As well as this, at the time Constantine actor Matt Ryan wrote on Instagram how he hoped it could happen.
He wrote: “A pleasure working with you @officialtomellis hopefully Lucie and Constantine can cross paths again.”
However, viewers will just have to watch this space as whether or not this will happen in the future has not yet been revealed.
