NOOO, Adam Levine Is Officially Leaving 'The Voice' After 16 Seasons

After 16 whole seasons of being sexy on your TV screens as a judge on The Voice, Adam Levine is officially moving on from the show.

The Voice‘s host Carson Daly announced it on the Today show this morning. Adam was initially supposed to be part of the season 17 lineup, so this news is pretty unexpected. When he announced the news, Carson said that Adam “will always be cherished member of The Voice family, and of course we wish him nothing but the best.”

Adam was one of the original coaches who helped launch the show, and he “won” three different times, with Jordan Smith in season 9, Tessanne Chin in season 5, and Javier Colon in the very first season.

While it’s a major bummer that we won’t get to see this fine piece of man light up our TV screens every week…

The good news is that his replacement is none other than Gwen Stefani, who was already a judge on seasons 7, 9, and 12, so that’ll be high-key amazing. Here’s a quick #TBT for you:

PLUS, Gwen and Blake Shelton just so happen to be dating, so here’s hoping we get some super cute couple-y competition on this season.

You can catch The Voice at 8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays this fall on NBC.
