Ruth Langsford delights fans as she raps with style on Loose Women

Ruth Langsford shocked viewers when she started rapping on the Friday, December 24 edition of Loose Women.

The Christmas Eve special saw Ruth, Coleen Nolan, Judi Love, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter all dressed up in their festive best.

The panellists all had Christmas-themed segments, with 61 year old Ruth introducing her very own masterclass on present-wrapping.

The This Morning presenter looked every inch the musician in a purple satin jacket and gold chains as she got started.

Facing the cameras, Ruth rapped: “So as if by magic, I’m a Christmas rapper. OK ladies. Here we go.

“Ruth Langsford here, and wrapping is my thing. You know at Christmastime, it makes me wanna sing.

“Tinsel, glitter, all things jolly,” the star continued with a grin. “Eamonn at home is putting up the holly. We’re in the festive mood don’t be giving me no sass, because now it’s time for my Christmas wrap wrap wrapping class.

Ruth then ended with a “drop the mic” moment as she immediately started giggling away.

“Haha love it,” the star finished.

While some of the other panellists, such as Judi Love, couldn’t stop laughing at Ruth’s hilarious Christmas joy, others were less impressed.

Coleen Nolan put her hands over her ears and shook her head as the camera zoomed in on her pained expression at the sound of Ruth’s dulcet tones.

While Janet Street Porter shouted “right get on with it” as she urged her co-star to carry on with the segment and teach everyone how to wrap.

Fans were thrilled with Ruth’s efforts though, with one person sharing: “@RuthieeL rap was amazing. I love that we get the ironing board story every year. #LooseWomen.”

“Haa Janet "Get on with it" #LooseWomen,” another person joked.

A third teased: “Move over Nicki Minaj! #LooseWomen.”

While a fourth person declared: “My favourite line-up today on #LooseWomen . Thank you ladies for a great show. Wishing you all a Happy Christmas.”

Some telly watchers were unsure about the segment, and one person even recalled Ruth having giving wrapping tips before.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
