Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) sank to a new low in Emmerdale tonight (October 2), as he set Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) up for the hit-and-run, but where do Andrea’s (Anna Nightingale) loyalties lie?
Jamie was informed by his solicitor that he needed to take action otherwise he’d be going to prison, and therefore he did just that.
Belle continued to celebrate her recent victory in setting Jamie up, but she was horrified to discover that the young man had turned the tables.
Yes, the police wanted to question both she and Nate regarding the hit-and-run, and it soon came to light that Jamie had lied to the police, claiming that it was they who’d knocked Moira (Natalie J Robb) down.
Belle professed her innocence to the detective leading the investigation, but matters were complicated further when said detective revealed she had CCTV footage of Belle driving Jamie’s car to a takeaway on the night Moira was hit.
Meanwhile, Jamie was as smug as ever up at Home Farm — believing that he’d at last given himself a fighting chance at staying out of prison — but he soon discovered there was a pretty large plot-hole in his newly formed narrative.
Without Andrea on side, his whole plan could fall apart.
Therefore, he pleaded with his wife to back up his story, but she refused.
Having now come to believe that he’d be going to prison, Jamie set off, but Andrea informed him that there is one thing he could do in order to get her on side…
What is this one thing that Andrea is referring to?
What’s more, will she betray Belle to keep Jamie out of prison?
Don’t do it, Andrea!
Emmerdale continues Monday October 5 at 7pm on ITV.
