Spoilers: Gray hatches sick plan to kill his own children in EastEnders

Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) made a huge decision in EastEnders tonight (October 15) as he hatched a plan to kill Mia and Mackenzie, promising them that they’ll be reunited with Chantelle (Jessica Plummer).

Gray has been struggling to come to terms with the fact that he killed Chantelle.

He’s focused his attention on Whitney Dean’s (Shona McGarty) trial, but earlier this week, he lashed out and threatened Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

With Whitney’s QC having had food poisoning, Gray swooped into action and delivered a compelling closing statement, which ultimately proved successful, as Whitney was found not guilty.

The closing statement evidently had a profound effect on him, as the solicitor — struggling with guilt — decided to take action.

Therefore, he returned home, and promised Mia and Mackenzie that they can see their mum again — something which left them incredibly confused.

Meanwhile, Shirley (Linda Henry) wasn’t too pleased about the way in which Gray had spoken to Linda, and thus she decided that he needed to be taught a lesson.

Back at No.1 Albert Square, Gray fiddled with the gas pipes, as he held a lighter in his hand — his intentions evident.

However, Shirley interrupted him, and she soon discovered what he was planning on doing.

She desperately tried to talk him out his plan — arguing that Chantelle wouldn’t want him to do this to her children.

Gray broke down in tears and dropped the lighter, leaving Shirley wondering how to proceed.

Will she inform anyone about what Gray tried to do?
