This November Peter Jackson’s three-part series on the Let It Be sessions, The Beatles: Get Back hits Disney+. But before then there’s a documentary film about the Fab Four arriving much sooner. The Beatles and India, which features unseen footage and pictures of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, has seen its trailer released today.
The award-winning documentary film will explore the lasting legacy of The Beatles’ 1968 visit to Rishikesh and how India influenced the later evolution of the music of the most successful band in history.
The previously unseen content will also include archive footage, recordings, eyewitness accounts and expert comments.
The Beatles and India is based on director Ajoy Bose’s book Across The Universe: The Beatles in India.
While the film will release in the UK Digitally on October 4 and will screen in select Everyman Cinemas on August 31 as part of the Everyman Music Film Festival.
