A FORMER contestant on The Chase has issued a stark warning to future players – after claiming the show made him look like a t***.
Wil missed out on the coveted cash prize during his appearance on the ITV quiz programme and has now issued a plea to players to be careful what they say on the show.
Disappointed with how he came across due to the way the programme was put together, Wil told LADbible: “Leading up to my chase, Bradley Walsh asked me ‘Do you think you’re going to beat the chaser, Wil?’
“And I went ‘Oh, yes… not a chance’, it was a bit of fake confidence into obvious self-deprecation.
“But they cut that last part out, it was just me going ‘Oh, yes’, which makes you look like a bit of a t***.”
Wil also discussed some of the other elements of being on the programme, discussing a detail that some viewers might be unaware of.
He added: “A lot of people don’t know this, but when you’re filming a regular episode of The Chase, it’s not in front of a live studio audience.
"It’s literally just you, the chaser, Bradley and, you know, the production staff."
Discussing the "well-oiled machine" behind the scenes, he concluded: “Bradley does his introductions and then basically you start filming through the show now it’s very stop-start, but it’s really efficient.”
It comes after The Chase host Bradley was left raging after a contestant was given an "unfair" question during Wednesday night’s episode.
Viewers of the hit quiz show have since expressed their anger after a blind contestant was given a question based on visual knowledge, with fans blasting the move as "absurd".
Star of the show Paul Sinha took to social media to respond to those who “don’t like” the length of his explanations given after answering questions on the show.
The Sun has reached out to ITV for comment.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
