This Morning fans fume as guest defends Remembrance Day protest

This Morning viewers have been left fuming with guest Beverley Turner, after she appeared to defend Extinction Rebellion 's climate change protest at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Day.

Protestors put up their own wreath at the historic landmark which read: "Honour their sacrifice, climate change means war."

And This Morning viewers were not feeling as sympathetic to the course as Beverley was, taking to Twitter in their droves.

One said: "No these c***s were out of order. F*** off with the I understand s***!"

Another wrote: "Sorry I totally disagree with her comments, it was disrespectful and inappropriate."

A third tweeted: "It was disrespectful, how dare they use a day when millions who died for our freedoms are being remembered, to push their agenda."

Someone else said: "Unfortunately Extinction Rebellion, the support that you were beginning to gain was massively lost due to the disgraceful act at the London Cenotaph."

And a fifth added: "Totally disagree with Beverley, I sympathise with the cause but they shouldn't have done it at the Cenotaph, completely disrespectful."

While one accused her of being a hypocrite after noticing her kitchen appliances in the back of her screen.

They said: "Beverley defending XR on This Morning and standing up for climate change, stating we must do something blah blah blah whilst her gas fire burns brightly behind her," adding the hashtag "hypocrite".

However some viewers did agree, with one saying: "What XR have done is simply put climate change on the front pages, as well as the first topic on This Morning and the news.

"They were peaceful, observed Armistice Day but also reminded people of the current war against climate change."
