Tuca & Bertie Has Been Saved From Cancelation By Adult Swim

Animated comedy Tuca & Bertie is being brought back from cancelation nearly a year after Netflix gave it the ax–but the show won’t be returning to the streaming platform. Instead, it was revived by Adult Swim, making it the second Netflix original, following One Day At A Time, to be picked up post-cancelation by a traditional TV network.

The news was announced today on Twitter by creator Lisa Hanawalt.

According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, series stars Ali Wong and Tiffany Haddish will be returning to reprise their roles as the show’s titular characters. The deal is set for a second season comprised of 10 more episodes, but will leave the door open for future seasons as well. It will debut in 2021.
