Why you recognise EastEnders actor who plays Lola’s ex Ewan

Ewan on EastEnders, Lola’s fiancé, made his debut on the soap recently and is now set to return, but who is the actor who plays him?

Riley Jones took on the role, with his character looking for his partner after her own recent return to Walford.

Ben Mitchell welcomed him into the house, and it was clear Ewan wasn’t a fan of Lexi’s father.

Fans may recognise actor Riley, as he was only recently on the telly in another big role.

Riley recently joined the cast of Vera in a more regular role, playing DC Mark Edwards.

He appeared in the last series, as well as past series of the show, with it since confirmed he and his character will return once again with the ITV drama for the next instalment.

Mark has been a character on the show on and off since 2011, while only recently has he appeared a lot more.

His Vera co-star Brenda Blethyn congratulated him on his role on the BBC soap on Twitter recently.

But this wasn’t his only past TV role, with Riley having starred in another BBC series.

Riley played a guest role in BBC series Wolfblood back in 2012.

Ewan made his Walford arrival after failing to get in contact with Lola, after she ignored his calls.

But Ben soon threatened him to leave Walford and Lola for good, leading to him making a quick exit.

In upcoming scenes though, he returns and exposes Ben leaving Lola stunned – but will Lola leave with him?

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
