Will EastEnders reference the royal baby of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry?

Going back earlier, in 2009 Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) had the news broken to him on his birthday, 26th June, that Michael Jackson had died the day before.

In 2011, Ben Mitchell and Jay Mitchell (Jamie Borthwick) watched the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton – and a huge deal was made of Meghan and Harry’s wedding last year.

Even Brexit got a mention in 2016, when Honey asked Billy (Perry Fenwick) if he was in or out when the referendum hit, and then later Linda (Kellie Bright) lamented over whether Brexit would leave them worse off.

The Me Too movement got a nod in 2018 when Ross Swinden, the man who raped Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton), said he had to walk on eggshells around women because they now have the power.

The births of George, Charlotte and Louis were all also given their moment in the Walford spotlight – so the latest addition deserves to get his five minutes of EastEnders fame too.
