18-wheeler shreds parked car in Queens while attempting turn

A truck driver took out a fire hydrant and tore up a parked car while attempting to turn onto a Queens street where big rigs are forbidden, video shows.

In the footage posted on Facebook, the 18-wheeler ricochets back and forth between a Toyota Matrix XR parked on Whitney Avenue in Jackson Heights and a fire hydrant on the opposite sidewalk.

“Here we go again, here we go again,” the person filming said as the truck backed up into the already-damaged sedan, impaled its left rear door and knocked out a side mirror.

“Let’s get a little zoom in on how these people drive these days in New York City,” the videographer said while moving the camera back and forth to show both ends of the truck.

At that point, the Matrix’s apparent owner emerged — screaming at the seemingly clueless truck driver.

Eighteen-wheelers like the one in the video are banned on most NYC streets.
