Amazon driver caught stealing packages from front porches in Brooklyn

Brazen Amazon truck driver is fired after being caught on surveillance stealing a pile of packages from front porches in Brooklyn in the middle of the day – AFTER she delivered them

  • The theft took place on Saturday October 29 at 3:10pm, the NYPD said
  • The video shows the thief walking away from the home carrying the stolen items and loading them into the company truck

This is the shocking moment an Amazon truck driver -dressed in an orange hoodie and matching orange-colored sneakers – is caught on surveillance stealing a pile of packages off a front porch in Brooklyn in broad daylight. 

The brazen driver is seen getting out of the truck walking up the doorstep of the Borough Park home – located on 58th Street and 13th Avenue – and removing three boxes that were sitting on the porch.

During the theft that took place on Saturday October 29 at 3:10pm, video shows the thief walking away from the home carrying the stolen items and loading them into the company truck. 

The bandit is then captured opening up the boxes that contained dresses before fleeing the scene. 

The homeowner, who did not want to be identified but caught the daring act on his doorbell camera, told Fox5 the dresses were for his daughter’s upcoming wedding.

A close-up of the brazen thief described as female with a light complexion, approximately 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches and 155 pounds. At the time of the theft she was wearing an Amazon vest, orange hooded sweatshirt and orange sneakers

The theft took place on Saturday October 29 at 3:10pm, the NYPD said

The resident said they were purchased from a dress shop in Bergen County, New Jersey. After the incident, he said, the store sent him an email informing him that the dresses were returned and an electronic gift card was issued. 

Despite the harrowing ordeal, the homeowner said his daughter’s wedding still took place.

Amazon spokesperson Brenden Baribeau told DailyMail.com they had identified the driver, who is ‘no longer delivering packages for Amazon.’  

‘We’ve reached out to apologize to the customer and help replace the stolen items,’ spokesperson Branden Baribeau said. ‘We’re also coordinating with the NYPD to assist as they continue to investigate.’

The assailant is carrying the stolen boxes down the steps as she makes a clean break before fleeing the scene in the Amazon truck 

Police described the assailant as female with a light complexion, approximately 30 years old,  5 feet 7 inches and 155  pounds. At the time of the theft she was wearing an Amazon vest.

No arrests have been made at this time, police spokesperson told DailyMail.com.
