HILARIOUS video shows how a cheeky schoolboy used his Amazon Alexa to cheat on his maths homework
Bryce Gormanley, 9, was caught secretly using the virtual assistant last Wednesday by his stunned mum Leanne.
In the video, nine-year-old Bryce is seen sat on his living room floor posing multiplication questions to Alexa.
An automated voice can be heard saying: "Four times three is twelve."
Bryce quickly jots down the answer as a gobsmacked Leanne continues to film the scene, raising her eyebrows in disbelief.
Bryce goes on, asking: "Alexa, eight multiplied by four?"
'WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?'
As Alexa gives him the answer again, Leanne shakes her head and manages to stifle a chuckle.
Bryce continues, totally oblivious to his mum's presence, before Leanne finally asks: "What is going on here?"
At that moment, a mortified Bryce whips round to face the camera.
He flashes his mum a cheeky grin and replies: "Doing my homework."
Leanne interjects and wags her finger at him, saying: "No, that is not how you do homework."
Bryce then turns back around and carries on asking times table questions to the device.
As the video ends, Leanne tells him: "You do realise you'll be doing all this again yourself?"
The hilarious scene was posted by Leanne on Facebook.
She shared the clip with the caption: "I would say it’s a fantastic effort son – not. Alexa is not how you do your home work Bryce.
'10/10 FOR CLEVERNESS'
"10/10 for cleverness on this aul boy. Really could not believe the cheek of him doing it when I was in the vicinity."
The video which has been viewed almost two million times, has had social media users in stitches.
Fiona Scally said: "Aw well done Bryce. Got to give him credit for even doing that lol."
Cara Templeton added: "Only using his initiative, that’s hilarious . I'm in knots Leanne."
And Russel Burbank commented: "Had to share! This is amazing! Hats off to him!"
Speaking today, Leanne said: "I told him I was going to put dinner on so he was to make a start on his homework.
"As I was cooking I could hear Alexa in the background saying something, so I went into the living room to check and there I caught him.
"He was completely oblivious to me being there, so I went back into the kitchen got my phone and videoed.
"As you can see from his face, he was pretty shocked when I caught him out. That was what made me share this. The sheer cheeky face on him.
"I thought 'Wow how smart.' So afterwards we did his homework again and had laugh watching the video back."
