Section of Hyde Park is cordoned off by police as body of man in his 30s is found in the early hours

  • Police and ambulance crew attended Hyde Park today and cordoned a part off 
  • Officers had been tipped off about an ‘unresponsive man’ at the park at 6.36am
  • Man was pronounced dead at the scene; police are not treating it as suspicious

Part of Hyde Park has been cordoned off after police recovered the body of a man in his 30s.  

Pictures of the London park show officers and an ambulance at the scene this morning following the discovery in the early hours. 

Officers had attended the scene after being tipped off about an ‘unresponsive man’ at 6.36am today. 

The London Ambulance Service and Fire Brigade attended alongside police, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Detectives are not treating the death as suspicious. His next of kin have not yet been told.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We were called at 6.38am today (7 June) to reports of an incident in Hyde Park near Bayswater Road. 

‘We sent an ambulance crew and a medic in a car to the scene. 

‘Sadly, despite the efforts of medics, a person died at the scene.’ 

A Met Police spokesman told MailOnline: ‘Police were called at approximately 06:36hrs on Thursday, 7 June to Hyde Park following reports of an unresponsive man.

‘Officers, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade attended and a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

‘The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

‘The man’s next of kin have not yet been informed.’
