OMAR Alexander Cardenas is one of the FBI's most wanted.

The Californian joins a host of dangerous criminals that the FBI is offering rewards for information that lead to their capture.

Who is FBI's most wanted Omar Alexander Cardenas?

Omar Alexander Cardenas was born on March 23, 1995, in California, United States.

He was suspected of being a member of a Los Angeles street gang called Pierce Street Gang.

Cardenas is known to go by the alias Dollar.

In 2022 Special Agent Michael Alker, who is investigating the case for the FBI's Los Angeles Field Office said: "He is not only a risk to the public, but he may also have information related to other violent crimes."

Alker described Cardenas to be of large physical appearance and wears glasses, but he varies his hairstyle and facial hair.

He said: "He normally wears thick prescription glasses and has at least one tattoo,"

"He is not only a risk to the public, but he may also have information related to other violent crimes."

The FBI has warned the public that Cardenas should be considered armed and dangerous.

What crimes did Omar Alexander Cardenas commit?

Cardenas is suspected of committing murder.

On August 15 2019, a 46 year old man called Jabali Dumas was shot and killed outside of a barber shop in Sylmar, Los Angeles.

Cardenas allegedly fired nine rounds at Dumas from a relatively close distance of 30 feet away.

Mr Dumas was struck in the head, and he died at the scene.

Allegedly, Cardenas was seen fleeing the scene in his car.

How long has Omar Alexander Cardenas been on FBI's most wanted?

Cardenas has two warrants out for his arrest, one for the murder of Jabali Dumas, and the other for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Authorities suspect that he fled to Mexico in order to avoid being arrested.

However, it is also believed that he may be hiding in southern California where he has family and friends.

Cardenas was the 528th person to be added to the FBI's most wanted list.

He was added to the list on July 20, 2022, replacing Eugene Palmer who was removed from the list without being captured.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $250,000 for information that will lead to his capture.
